Mikka, Yammoh, Lor, Tor, Koin, Wins, Forager.
And Luminosa before them.
They were in the center of the Rainbow Star, from the looks of it. Colors swirled in and out and pulsated all around them, except for this strange platform on which everyone stood. It was big enough to hold all of them and probably have a cool fight scene take place were that to be necessary, but too small to stay for comfort. Falling off this platform and into the rainbow plasma did not sound like a particularly good idea at all.
Luminosa, in her dark, rainbow-colored dress, looked at them with a grin that all of them interpreted as pretty gnacking sinister.
Except for Mikka. She ran up to Luminosa and hugged her tightly. “You’re safe!” she shouted. “I was so worried my childhood buddy was in big trouble… but here she is, safe and lookin’ pretty smokin’.”
“Thanks,” she said back, laughing softly.
Forager clenched her fists together. “Everyone… I have something to say…”
Lor turned to her. “What is it?”
“This woman in front of us… I have no idea who she is. I don’t know if that means anything to you, but this is really concerning to me.”
Mikka looked back confusedly. “Luminosa has been on our ship since the beginning.” She paused and gave a more suspicious face. “Honestly, I don’t really know much about you besides what you and Dr. Yammoh have said. You’re Maenad, but in human form?”
“No, I am not a computer,” she said. “I was trapped inside the computer a while back. I don’t know who did it or why.”
Luminosa stared at Forager.
It became clear exactly what happened between the two, even if Forager herself could not remember it, even if the others could no longer remember Forager.
The emotions of the rainbow seeped through and gave them all clarity.
Except for Mikka.
“Ah, well, I guess it’s high time I started explaining a few things, isn’t it?” Luminosa asked.
“High time indeed,” Koin said.
“Well then, I will start by telling you a story,” she said. “The Story of the Missing World.”
